So many people are looking for answers and trying to figure out how to live in this destroyed world. Everyday it gets worse. We are ushered into new ways of living and we are given new rules to follow. Society keeps moving forward; but towards what?

Deep down, most of us know that something isn’t quite right. Our Government seems to be very corrupt with scandal after scandal; our economy is right at the brink of complete ruin; we are having natural disasters right on top of each other and much worse than before.

What’s interesting is that we can read in the book of Revelation and we can see that all these things are already written down; that at the end of time, these things will take place. Remember Noah and his ark? People and their corruption got very bad in those days and God poured out His wrath and brought a worldwide flood. We are in line for another day of wrath, which I will get to in a moment.

There is an evil being in this world, Satan, and he is roaming around and preparing for his day to reign. He is gathering up his armies by deceiving people everywhere into following him. The bible also tells us that many will be deceived and will turn to him.

God is still with us and is still going around all the world searching for lost souls. He is accepting people of all nationalities, people with all types of backgrounds, and people who have sinned and made mistakes. He is not here to judge right now, but here to save. His name is Jesus.

God’s Wrath

Soon, maybe sooner than we might think, there will be a great time of deception. There will be seven years, which will include three and a half years of hardship, known as tribulation. This is when Satan will get his fifteen minutes of fame. This is where he will rule and try to destroy.

The book of Revelation tells us that even though the devil will be very harsh in those days, that God will still be at work in the people still on the earth. Even in these terrible times, people will still turn to Jesus. It will be very difficult, but the bible says it will happen.

The book also describes God’s Wrath that will be poured out at the end of the seven years. This is when all who follow Satan; those who are faithful to him and pledge allegiance to him by accepting the mark of the beast on their hand or forehead, will learn that they made the wrong choice. When the moment of God’s full wrath has started, it will be too late to accept Jesus.

People will cry out but will find no relief. The book describes seven plagues that will be released on Satan’s followers (Revelation 16), and these will cause the inhabitants of the earth to suffer without relief.

Fortunately, if you are reading this, there is still time to make a choice for Jesus and escape this wrath of God that is on its way. You have to make a choice; no one else can do this for you. People can pray for you, but when it comes to Salvation and making a decision to follow Jesus, it has to be the sole decision of the individual.

Why Jesus; why not something else?

Because God knew that there would be a day of His Judgment where all the world would be separated; good from evil, He also knew that none of us would pass the test. God knew that even with atoning sacrifices and offerings, that our sins just couldn’t be wiped away.

So, God in His infinite wisdom, sent His only Son Jesus to come to earth in human form. Jesus came, not to judge people, but to save people. He came to provide a final atonement for our sins. He did this through the crucifixion and resurrection.

When He went to the cross, He was punished for the sin of the world; our sin. By dying on the cross, He made the final sacrifice to God. We did the crime; He did the time. But then He said, “It is finished.” Three days later, when God raised Jesus from the grave, Satan lost his power over us. The power that was first entrusted to us in the Garden of Eden, the power of which we gave to the enemy when we gave into sin in the Garden, this power was taken back through the resurrection of Christ.

Now, all who believe in Jesus and call on Him as their Lord and Savior receive this power, they receive the Holy Spirit, and they will share in the Inheritance alongside Jesus.

John 3:16
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”

John 14:6
“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

The bible tells us that there isn’t any other way. This is the way that was provided by God, Himself. He didn’t say that we could do this or that instead; He didn’t say that we could also just be good and get into Heaven; He didn’t say that we could offer sacrifices still and fully obey the Ten Commandments and get into Heaven. He said;

Romans 10:9-10
“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”

Accepting Jesus

Accepting Jesus is made easy for us. Often, the hard part is swallowing our pride and ignoring the lies the devil will undoubtedly tell us right before we give our heart to Jesus. What we will hear from the enemy is stuff like: “You’re not good enough to be saved; You have too many sins; You will just mess up again, so what’s the point?”

Refuse to listen to the enemy when he says this stuff. Of course, none of us are good enough to be saved and, of course, we have all sinned too much; God is a God of Grace, folks! God said in the above verse in Romans 10:9-10 that we can be saved if we believe and confess the name of Jesus. He didn’t say, but first, go clean yourself up and be righteous before the Lord; He essentially is telling us to come as we are, just come to Him.

So, how do we do this?

We ask Him to come into our life. We admit that we are a sinner, that we have sinned greatly, and need Salvation. We ask Him to forgive us for our sins and to wash us clean with His blood. We ask Him to take full control of our life and to direct us into victory. We tell Him that we do believe in Him and that we do confess out loud that He is our Lord and Savior. Then we believed that we are saved, and we go forth in our new Life!

At the end of this article, there is a link that is attached to another page where you can read about accepting Jesus and there is a prayer as an example of what you can pray to ask Jesus for salvation. You can read aloud that prayer or pray something similar, but it is up to you to do this no one can accept Jesus for you.

After you do accept Christ into your heart, you must confess your acceptance of Him.

Matthew 10:32
“Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.”

Following your decision for Christ, you should search for a church around you who is well-rooted in the teachings of the True Gospel of Jesus. There are many churches, but few are teaching Jesus directly from the bible anymore. It is important to be fed healthy food if you want to be healthy. When you do find a bible-believing, Christ-crucified, Jesus is the only way, kind of church, let them know that you have accepted Christ and that you also want to be baptized.

This is where you are dunked underwater and show outwardly that you have died to your old self and come out refreshed with New Life with Jesus. This baptism symbolizes the death and resurrection of Jesus and our participation in this shows obedience to God.

A time of change

Upon becoming a new believer, you will be excited. The more that you realize just what kind of Wrath you have escaped, and as you understand what kind of rewards will be waiting for you in Heaven, you will want to share this Good News with your friends. However, they might not be as excited.

In fact, when people come to Jesus, they often need to come to new friends, too. Sadly, not everyone is ready to accept Christ. But don’t let this discourage you or bring you to depression. We are called to be a light in a dark world. So, we don’t necessarily need to let go of our old friends, but instead, become an example of Christ to them.

By not participating in certain activities anymore, like; partying, fighting, sexual immorality, and these kinds of things, it’s possible that your friends will pull away from you. But God is faithful and will provide you will all sorts of good friends and influences in your life. This too, is why it’s a good idea to get involved with a church and start fellowshipping with other believers.

Be a multiplier for the Kingdom of God

After receiving Jesus, you are given the responsibility to learn the Word of God and then use the spiritual giftings that you have to share the Good News and to help in the ministry of the Kingdom of God.

We all have various talents and skills and the bible tells us that we have been given spiritual gifts;

1 Corinthians 12:7
“A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.”

We are expected by God to use our giftings to help expand and advance the Kingdom of God. We are called to fellowship in the church because there are other believing brothers and sisters who are struggling and need some support. That’s what our giftings are good for.

Some of us will be called to teach, to encourage, to serve, and even to prophesy. Whatever gift God has given to you, it will be made more known and developed as you make yourself available to the service of God. It’s also possible to be a “closet Christian” where you keep to yourself, you don’t tell people you are a Christian, and you are of no service to God. Is a person like this truly saved in the first place, you ask? Well, only God knows.

But we are told to go out and enlarge God’s territory; to go out and use the skills and knowledge He gives us to promote the Kingdom.

Matthew 28:18-20
“Jesus came and told his disciples, ‘I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’”

It’s called the Great Commission and each of us are called to participate. Each of us are called to share our faith in Jesus with all who God prepares and puts before us. It’s not up to us to force anyone, but to lovingly share why we want to follow Jesus and how they too can attain New Life.

This is the act of multiplication. God is a multiplier. God saved us; we go forth and share His Word and He saves more; they go forth and share His Word, and through them, He saves even more. This starts with one believer’s act of obedience to God; an act of obedience of the Great Commission.

Conclusion

Accepting Jesus is the only way to see Heaven. It’s the only way God has provided. But when we do accept His Son, He lavishes us with gifts; starting with Salvation and Eternal Life in the Kingdom of Heaven alongside Jesus. He also gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit, who is known as The Helper, and who is with us at every moment moving forward.

God the Holy Spirit will help us make good decisions, He will strengthen us to do what is right even when it’s hard and unpopular, and He will keep us from harm’s way through wisdom.

Daily engagement in reading the bible, praying to God, and worshiping Him through song and praise are the three main ingredients for growth and eventual maturity in Christ. Obedience is right there at the top of this list, and without obedience to God, we are likely just sitting around with valuable knowledge of the Word of God in our heads that isn’t getting out to help others.

God can use anyone to share His message, but He likes to use everyone. What’s interesting is that ten people can share the exact same message about something, but, deliver it in ten different ways. God gives each of us unique characteristics, and how we share His Word and message will be shown in a way that is unique to our character.

The choice to accept Jesus is in your hands. He is ready, willing, and waiting. All you have to do is reach out to Him and then you will be sealed as His and you will inherit the Kingdom of God, along with Jesus, Himself!
